Working on a new miniature. This one's a female. I am sorta designing it as I go but it will probably have a steampunk theme.

This green stuff took a little while to get used to. It's totally different from most of the other mediums I'm used to. But once you figure it out, you can get it to do cool things.

Miniature sculpt

So I have been doing a lot of sculpture lately.  Various sizes. But I decided to attempt miniature sculpture. I have been messing around with super sculpey firm as well as the epoxy putty 'green stuff'. Both have their pros and cons. But the green stuff has been easier to get nice detail into. Plus the various stages of firmness before it sets up completely each have different working properties..... Take a look at the progress

Here is a troll i painted for the Avalanche Blog a little while back. As im sure anybody who looks at this Blog on a somewhat regular basis will notice, i dont update very often. I am hoping to change that by posting more than just my latest paintings.

Finally something!

The project that i have been working on (at work) is finally wrapping up. This frees up some time to do a little painting. This is one for the Avalanche Blog. The subject is "Bug Warfare". I know this isn't a painting of a war but i thought it was close enough. Besides who wants to sit and paint hundreds of individual bugs fighting. Not me!
